Can I make the seller to pay for the repairs from a previous water damage condition?

I bought a house last year. The seller (bank) told me that it was in perfect condition. I hired an inspector and they told me the same. Two week ago, I went from work and I found 2 closets full with water. The walls, floor, ceiling and electricity were destroyed with the water. It happened in a 3rd floor. The water was coming from an area near the roof/chimney. I talked to the neighbor and she told me that this house had being having problems with the chimney for years, and it wasn't the first time that it happened. She told me that the previous owners had plans to fix it before they sell it. The bank took possession of the house and knew about the problem. They never told me about this when I bought it. They keep it in secret. The patched and painted the walls and ceilings, so it can not be noticed in an inspection. Now it is going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix it. The water was running inside the walls and ceilings for years. The water was coming out from the light fixtures like in a faucet! If we did not have the hard rain that we had 2 weeks ago, I never was going to find out about this. I would like to know if I can make the bank to paid for the repairs, because they knew about it and they didn't tell me about. It still raining and the water still coming inside the house, especially trough the light bulbs. I live in Georgia. May be there is law about it? Thanks for your help.
