Why do you think Turkey is not top 3 in the world in terms of tourist arrivals?

I absolutely love Turkey and I agree Spain has absolutely nothing on it. When I was in Turkey last I noticed that there were a lot of English and Australians....and some European Tourists but not so many Americans and not as many from other places. I think that most people just don't know how fabulous it is. Turkey needs to do more advertising to bring in tourism and familiarize more people with what it has to offer. Fabulous food, beautiful mosques and palaces, historical sites and FABULOUS beaches. Shoot - you can even ski there or explore the caves of early christians. It totally rocks and its a very affordable place to visit.
