Can you trust weather.com for beach temperatures?

I am attending an afternoon wedding on Stinson Beach (in California) in a couple of days. Weather.com says it will be in the high 70s. Some people say that northern california beaches can get really chilly, so I am wondering if I should bring a jacket. Can I trust weather.com's forecast?
